Yep this post is way overdue seeing as Tia’s birthday was last month. I so miss her. She is my heart dog. Can’t wait to get her back and see the amazing work that Minna and Chris has put on her. She left in February to do some training towards her Breed Suitability Test (ZTP) we were supposed to go to California for the ZTP test (Me and Minna) However, COVID-19 shut that down for us and Tia was with Minna. Minna sends me pics and videos of her progress and how she’s doing. There’s going to be another trial at the end of June or July in New England hopefully it’s not cancelled and she will work to get her ZTP title then.
A ZTP title trial consists of measurements, a reaction to gunfire, a courage test (which is basically an escape bite) with the helper. It documents how close to the European Breed Standard that Tia is. Capone got his last year and is suitable for breeding. The only thing I have to have done after the ZTPs is their holter test on their hearts and they will be fully health tested and suitable for breeding. So hopefully Tia can get hers by the end of the year.
